AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism
High school students with a calculus background who are preparing for the AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism exam.
AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism applies calculus to the study of electric charge, fields, potential, circuits, and magnetism. This course walks through each topic area with structured lessons, worked examples, and problem sets that build from foundational definitions toward multi-step applications. Because this exam assumes comfort with derivatives and integrals, lessons connect physical reasoning to the calculus tools students use to express it. Students can move through material at their own pace while checking their understanding through regular practice.

Course modules
Lessons are organized by topic and combine short explanations with worked derivations, so students see how each formula connects to the underlying physical concept before applying it. Students move through material on their own schedule and revisit any lesson as often as they need.
Electrostatics and Coulomb's law
Electric charge, Coulomb's law, and electric fields from point charges and continuous distributions.
Gauss's law
Using symmetry and Gauss's law to determine electric fields for charged conductors and distributions.
Electric potential and capacitance
Electric potential energy, potential difference, and capacitor behavior in circuits.
Direct current circuits
Resistors, capacitors, and circuit analysis using Kirchhoff's rules.
Magnetic fields and forces
Magnetic fields from currents, forces on moving charges, and the Biot-Savart and Ampere's laws.
Electromagnetic induction
Faraday's law, Lenz's law, and induced currents in changing magnetic fields.
Inductance and RL circuits
Inductors, energy storage in magnetic fields, and behavior of RL circuits over time.
Practice format
Practice activities are grouped by topic and include multi-step problems that require setting up an equation from a physical scenario, not just recalling a formula. Immediate feedback shows the correct approach alongside the answer.
Mock exam format
Timed mock examinations are structured to reflect the general format and pacing of the real AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism exam, including multiple-choice and free-response sections that require full derivations.
Webinar format
Weekly live webinars led by an AP Physics C Instructor walk through challenging derivations and problem-solving strategies, with time set aside for student questions during the session.
Written questions
Students can submit written questions about specific problems or concepts directly through the platform at any time. Responses are delivered through private platform messages, so students never need to appear on camera to get help.
